Tanya Turner, Special Educator Coordinator
Tanya Vipond-Turner was a 99’ RTHS graduate. She was active in Eaglettes earning her a scholarship to Parkland Community College. After graduation, Mrs. Turner continued her education at Illinois State University (ISU) majoring in early childhood education. She graduated with honors in 04’. She began teaching special education locally at Ludlow Grade School. Mrs. Turner pursued her masters degree at Eastern Illinois University (EIU) and graduated in 2010. Mrs. Turner transitioned from special education into administration as a Principal at Ludlow Grade School for six years. Mrs. Turner felt that she needed to do more to get students ready for life. In 2019, Mrs. Turner returned to RTHS as a Special Education teacher, and for the past year she has had the privilege to serve as the Special Education Coordinator at RTHS.When Mrs. Turner is not at school she loves spending time with her family, her husband and their two kids. She also enjoys working out, traveling and attending sporting and music events.
