Scott Amerio, Superintendent
Scott Amerio has been an educator for 27 years. He has spent his entire career at Rantoul Township High School where he started as a Social Studies teacher in 1996. He taught for four years before becoming an Assistant Principal in 2000. He served in various administrative roles before becoming Principal in 2003. In 2010, Mr. Amerio became the 9th Superintendent in RTHS history.He earned his Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of Social Studies from the University of Illinois in 1996, a Masters of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2001, and a Specialist in Education in 2007. He is a member of the Rantoul Exchange Club and the Rantoul Rotary Club, where he served as President from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. He has been a member of the Lincoln's Challenge Advisory Council. He is currently serving his second term as President of the Education for Employment Board.
Scott is married to Amy Amerio, who is a School Psychologist in the Rantoul City School District. They have two children who attended and became third-generation graduates of Rantoul Township High School.
